Canoe

The Native peoples of the region, predominate amongst us, the Pocumtuc, have long built canoes that ply the rivers and that are easily portaged. The sweet grass hanging from the gunwale in our image, grows locally & is used to make baskets and along with feathers, it is used in ceremonies.
