Whereas there are apple orchards with sophisticated cider-making capabilities that distribute nationally as well as to local store fronts, folks also press their apples to make hard & sweet ciders — neighbors challenging one another for the best batches. And, of late a County Festival, celebrated with tastings, farm tours and workshops is held in the fall.
