Dexter Marsh who lived on Bank Row was contracted to build the street’s sidewalks. On the slate he pried apart, he discovered dinosaur tracks in 1835. He became devoted to the discovery of others, learning about geology and sharing his insights & fossils all over the world.
There has been a yearly program called Dino Fest, organized by Jonathan Mirin, Director of the Piti Theater Company, with workshops for children and adults as well as films that extrapolates on the history and life of the dinosaurs in our region.
