Mayflower

The Mayflower was adopted as the State flower for MA in 1918 voted in by school children; yet since 1925, it has been on the endangered list. The. tiny  fragrant, delicate mayflower, whose peak bloom is between March and July. The Mayflower also known as ground laurel or trailing arbutus, prefers sandy or rocky soil, under or near evergreens. They give off a fragrant, spicy scent that intensifies over time.
