Grist Mill

Grist Mills, that ground grains, were in abundance in every town in the county because of the many area rivers and farms with animals needing food. Farmers would bring in their grain to be ground into flours or feed. This one, on the Green River was built in 1714 but burned in 1910; the bridge was replaced by a concrete one, but the mill never rebuilt.
