Mural Images
The building on the left is the Russell cutlery factory built in Turners Falls in 1869. The one on the right was earlier built also by Russell in 1834 on the banks of the Green River in Greenfield. Its logo was famous, “Stab them up to the Green River”. The skills of making cutleries were brought to the area by German immigrants.
