Energy Park Stage

The performing arts stage called "The Station" was built in 2003 at the Greenfield Energy Park in honor both of Greenfield’s 250th anniversary and the dedication of the Olver Transportation Center -  marking the renewal of the train station as a hub for the region as it had been since the mid 1840's when the first train arrived in Greenfield.  A formal station was constructed in the 1880's at this site. With the construction of the interstate highwayss, the station was taken down in the late 1960's, but the Energy park stage, designed as a nod to the station with its classic "inverted tulip" roof and clock tower, is just south of where the original station was for the B&M RR.  However, plans are afoot in order to create a more sustainable planet to resume east -- west train routes and enhance those running north and south.
