Fish

Fish & fishermen abound because of the the county’s multiple rivers. Every spring, migrating fish return up the Connecticut River to spawn. Fish ladders were built in the 1980’s to try to help those fish get past the Turner’s Falls dam. Rivers are stocked with trout in the spring. School children help raise them such that awareness of our swimming friends is amplified.
